Financial backwardness can no more force many children out there to drop out of schools. Because, your help works the wonder.
Practical education drives children to explore the depths of knowledge and transforms them into resourceful individuals. Our effort to impart practical education by innovative teaching methods is Project Akshara Sankalp.
Ideas have been the base of all major changes in the world. Young minds carry creativity with potential to resolve the toughest of challenges. Awareness camps give them a direction and needed push to align their minds towards social responsibility.
A painful incident, in which a little boy of six was competing with stray dogs to earn his meal for the moment, did re-align our view of social realities and triggered a sense of responsibility in our minds – a team of five friends. On March 12, 2008, we resolved to play our part in changing the bitter realities of the society and founded ‘SWORD – Social Welfare Organization to Revitalize the Deprived’.
Children’s rights are often ignored as they are the most vulnerable amongst all the disadvantaged groups. Since 2008, we have been sponsoring the education of financially backward children, conducting awareness camps among children and youth to make them discover their social responsibility and direct the infinite creative potential hidden in them towards resolving the toughest of challenges our society faces today.
We believe that education has all the needed potential to strengthen many underprivileged people to stand for their rights and protect their interests. Providing 'Real education’ is the only way to ensure dignified and revitalized lives to the deprived sections of the society.
On July 08, 2010, we are registered with the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh under Societies Registration Act, 2001.
My father passed away when I was 10. My mother couldn't afford my education and almost thought of sending me to work. Then SWORD came to my resque and paid my school fees. THANK YOU SWORD.
Financial position of my family weakend as my dad fell ill. My mothers works in several odd jobs to earn living. Either one of me or my brother could only continue education. My teachers at school referred me to SWORD. Since then I never looked back in academics for want of financial help.
My parents' income was not sufficient to afford my school fees. I was saved by SWORD from being dropping off. I have been studying without any worry since SWORD assured financial help.
